These are independent companies who collect a wide range of personal data, including financial history. In common with most financial organisations, shops, and businesses, Nationwide uses this information for fraud prevention and when assessing whether to lend money and provide credit.
Nationwide and other lenders provide the agencies with information about how accounts are managed, which lenders may use for their own credit assessments.
You are entitled to see the information the agencies hold about you. You can make a request online paying by credit card, or by writing to the address shown below enclosing a cheque for £2.00, and providing the following details :
- Your full name.
- Your date of birth.
- Your addresses over the last 6 years.
